We decorated our tree the other day - we have a new silver tree to put our extra ornaments on this year! I love the way it sparkles! :)

I haven't painted for a little while so I kicked myself in gear today and practiced my face painting techniques - I learned this technique from the artist Deirdra Doan. You draw everything in blue first and then paint the skin tones on top...

PUMPKINS!!

Halloween is almost here! My brother and I carved some pumpkins the other night - so fun! I did the one of the dog - it's my brother's dog Lucy, and it turned out pretty cool :)

Wednesday painting...

Today I didn't really know what to paint - actually it's been like that for a while now but I read about a technique in a magazine that I wanted to try out. You basically just paint over a photographed image out of a magazine and it turns out really cool... (I turned her suit yellow myself, and the face looks better in person) :)

I'm back from Portland Oregon for the Art and Soul art workshops. It was sooo fun. Here are a few of the items I made:Lisa Kaus' class "Be still my beating heart" was super fun.

and Dierdra Doan taught an art nouveau class called "pretty as a princess" using inspiration from Gustav Klimt's art.

Friday paintings

I sat and painted all morning with my Mom... We practiced painting leaves from our yard and then I painted a picture from a book of pumpkins! I love the fall! :)
